New Project in Spokane: Combining Durability and Modern Curb Appeal

M&P Quality Construction has officially kicked off a new project for our client. This project is a perfect example of how combining different siding styles can provide both maximum protection and a high-end look for a home.

The Plan: Practicality Meets Design

For this project, we’ve chosen a dual-siding approach to balance cost-effectiveness with architectural style:

  • The Main Body (Sides & Back): We are installing T1-11 siding. This is a classic choice for the Pacific Northwest because of its rugged durability and natural wood look. It’s perfect for providing a strong, weather-resistant barrier for the parts of the house that face the toughest elements.
  • The Focal Point (The Front): To give the home that “wow” factor, we are installing Board & Batten siding on the front facade. This vertical siding style is trending right now because it creates clean lines and a modern “farmhouse” aesthetic that instantly boosts curb appeal.

Why This Combination Works

  1. Cost-Effective Quality: T1-11 allows the homeowner to invest in premium materials where they matter most—the front of the house.
  2. Weather Protection: Here in Washington, our homes need to withstand rain, snow, and sun. Both materials are selected for their ability to handle the Spokane climate.
  3. Visual Depth: Mixing textures (the traditional grooves of T1-11 and the bold vertical battens) makes the house look custom-built and unique in the neighborhood.

The M&P Quality Touch

At M&P Quality Construction, we don’t just “hang siding.” We focus on the details that matter: proper flashing, high-quality house wrap, and precision cuts around windows and corners. We are spending 4 days on this site to ensure every nail is placed correctly and the transition between the T1-11 and Board & Batten is seamless.

Stay Tuned for the Final Reveal!

We are currently in the middle of this transformation, focusing on every detail to ensure home looks its best.

Once we wrap up the project, we will be updating this post with a full gallery of the finished work. You’ll be able to see the final contrast between the rugged T1-11 and the stylish Board & Batten siding.
